Celebrate Fatty Friday

The Thespian Troupe #888 is having a fundraiser this Friday at Panda Express to help with production costs.

“The money goes toward fees for the show such as costumes and sound equipment, “ Thespian exec board president Olyvia Anothayanontha said.

This is the opening weekend of the troupe’s show The Foreigner and they hope to raise as much as they can.

“We have the Booster Club that helps support our costs if the fundraisers don’t go the way we planned,” Thespian Sponsor Keli Rodgers said. “We need new equipment.”

The troupe will get 20 percent back from all purchases made on Friday, February 19, by students and community members. They are encouraging people to stop by Panda Express for a meal before heading off to the show.

“A lot of us go before we get called for the show. We go right after school and then we go, have a good time, then prepare for the show,” senior Thespian Allyson Bunyar said.

In order for the troupe to get credit for the purchase, patrons must have a printed copy of the sheet posted above or get one from Anothayanotha at the restaurant. The flyer can also be presented electronically on a smartphone on the Thespian Troupe Classroom page. The classroom code is 807up1.

This fundraiser benefitting Thespian Troupe #888 will begin at 3 p.m and continue until close on Friday, Feb. 19, at the Panda Express near the corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Quivira.
