Junior Dylan Meyers laughs with his coach, Gary Emmons, Feb. 8 at Kansas City Ice Center. Before coaching for the Kansas City Jets, Emmons played for the National Hockey League (NHL). “I have a good relationship with Gary. Tons of respect but we always chirp each other,” Meyers said. “He played in the NHL, so that’s how he inspires me.”

Sophomore Van Collins dribbles the ball Feb. 10 in the main gym. The Cougars won against the Vikings 68-47. “I thought the game went well,” Collins said. “We came out with great energy and kept it throughout the whole game.” (Ashley Broils)
Junior Avery Lang writes a note to junior Dylan Cooper to be handed out with a rose on Valentine’s Day Feb. 10 in the Mall. The rose sale was run by the Prom Committee to raise money for prom. “It’s a simple way to show someone that you are thinking of them and that you appreciate them,” Lang said. (Ashley Broils)

Folding a shirt, Aletha McNally examines the ‘Superbowl Champions’ design on a Chiefs t-shirt Feb. 12 at Rally House off of Shawnee Mission Parkway.
