On Aug. 21, some of the United States will be able to view a total eclipse of the sun.

Although we are a bit south of the total eclipse travel line, we will be able to see a roughly 95% eclipse. Seeing as how this is possibly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, NW faculty has provided students an opportunity to see the event.

Students will be given free eclipse-viewing glasses on Monday and will go outside during the time the phenomenon is supposed to be visible after an informational assembly.

 Here is Monday’s altered schedule:

Hour 1 — 7:40 – 8:25

Hour 2 — 8:30 – 9:15

Second Chance Breakfast — will give passes to students, as this passing period will only be five minutes today

Hour 5 – 11:00 – 12:25
