Giacalone is perfect once again

The first time Adam Giacalone threw a perfect game he accomplished something that no one in the history of Shawnee Mission Northwest has ever done.

Now, according to smsd.com, he’s accomplished a feat no one in major league baseball has ever done.

The big man on the hill threw his second perfect game Monday night against Leavenworth leading the Cougars to a 10-0 victory.

Giacalone faced the minimum 18 batters, striking out 11. Throwing just 63 pitches (57 of them being strikes), the Cougar is showing everyone around the league that he is determined to do something the boys in orange haven’t done in 17 years, win a state championship.

The Cougars are now 12-2 on the season and currently tied for first in the Sunflower League with Lawrence Free State. They play Olathe North thursday night at ODAC.
