Four Shawnee teens seriously injured in car wreck

Three Northwest students and one Rockhurst student were involved in a car wreck on Tuesday evening.

According to a source close to the families, rising Northwest sophomores Jack Overesch, Peter Crafton and Drake Zimmerman and rising Rockhurst sophomore Will Brown were involved.

According to KSHB Kansas City, the teens were all sent to the hospital in serious condition after being ejected from a Ford F350 pickup truck in a rollover crash.

The crash happened at 5:35 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle on the northbound entrance ramp from Shawnee Mission Parkway to Interstate 435.

At the time of the crash, none of the passengers were wearing seat belts.
