Seventeen total SM students have been recognized as finalists in the National Merit program, three of those finalists come from NW. These students are Cameron Akagi, Benjamin Basel and Rachel Tao.

Students enter the National Merit program by taking the PSAT during their sophomore year. They now have the opportunity to advance in competition to qualify for scholarship awards that will be offered in the spring.
