Born places 23 at Nationals

Junior Molly Born placed 23 overall at the Nike Cross Nationals meet Saturday in Portland, Ore. Born finished with at time of 18:06.6. She qualified for the event after winning the Heartland Regional Nov. 13 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
“I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to race against the best XC runners in the nation,” Born said. “It was a great experience and I’m so grateful to have been able to represent Kansas and the Heartland.”
