The Cougar Classics and Cougar Express drill teams competed at the Miss Kansas dance competition on Jan. 11-12 at Olathe South high school.
Soloist Kelsey Nagel and an ensemble of Brooke Evans, Melody Riddell and Emma Rutherford won awards at the event.
In their first time competing, the JV team went home with trophies in Technique and Showmanship.
The varsity team walked away with awards in Precision, technique and showmanship, as well as a Shining Star trophy.
