Saying Goodbye: Special Education para Carmilla Hales
Thirteen years at Northwest
May 18, 2023
What has made Northwest stand out?
“I’ve been at a couple of other schools. One thing that stands out in Northwest to me, in Special Ed, is the teachers and the paras are a team. It wasn’t like that when I first started.”
What will you miss the most?
“Being busy. I’ll miss working with this team of paras and teachers and the faces I’ve seen for so many years.”
Why are you retiring?
“I’ve been doing this for 25 years, I’m 65, I’m tired. I just want to do something different for a while.”
