Ingredients
Store bought biscuit dough – 1 can
Canola oil – enough to fill ¾ inch up the pan
Sugar – ½ cup
Step 1
Get out all necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Heat the oil until you see small bubbles floating to the top.
Step 3
Cut the biscuit dough into ¼ or ⅛ pieces, depending on what size you prefer.
Step 4
While you’re waiting for the oil to heat up, set up your station:
- Your cut up dough;
- Your soon-to-be-sizzlin’ oil;
- Your paper towel plate (to cool down the dough after oil);
- Your bowl of sugar;
- Your final plate to hold your delicious donuts!
Step 5
Test one piece of dough to check your oil, you should hear a sizzle immediately.
Step 6
Fry until the side in the oil is golden brown, then flip to fry the other side. If you chose to cut the dough into ¼ pieces earlier, let them fry an extra 30 seconds on each side.
Step 7
Using a slotted spoon place donuts onto paper towels and dab off excess oil.
Step 8
Roll in sugar, and enjoy!
