Students visited Topeka on Nov. 18-19 for the Youth in Government conference. Participants proposed original bills in the hopes of pushing them through a mock House of Representatives and the Senate. Bills that passed were sent on to the mock governor, who signed all nine bills into law. Those bills will be passed on to Gov. Sam Brownback to be proposed to the real House of Representatives and Senate.
