Democratic candidate Joe Biden has won the 2020 presidential election
Democratic candidate Joe Biden has officially become America’s 46th president with 290 electoral votes and 50.6% of the popular vote as of 12:53 p.m. Nov. 7. His vice president, Senator Kamala Harris will be making history in becoming the first woman, black person, first Indian American and the first Asian American to hold the Vice President position.
There are still three states that have not completed counting; Georgia, Alaska and North Carolina. Biden is in the lead in Georgia, while his opponent Donald Trump leads in North Carolina and Alaska.
Currently, Republican candidate Trump has 214 electoral votes and 47.7% of the popular vote.
