With so many teachers heading home to care for their new family editions, students are left struggling to adjust to their temporary replacements. Here are three keys to surviving the sub.
Be Adaptive
The new sub is just that, new. There teaching method, and classroom expectations may not mirror those of your original teacher.
Be Understanding
You aren’t the only one in a new environment. Don’t expect the sub to be perfect. Give them time to figure out just how everything runs.
Be Respectful
They were given a lesson plan, and some brief teaching tips. But you can’t go just by the book. Remember that your new teacher might be as overwhelmed as you are.
