Plans are undecided for Student Council (StuCo) to host the spring blood drive scheduled for March 5 in the Main Gym with the Community Blood Center. Students still must be at least 17-years-old to donate, weigh at least 115 pounds and meet the health requirements on that day.
Due to the district policy changes rules will be strictly enforced. Student will be required to stand on a scale and eat in front of the Community Blood Drive staff. The nurse, Cindy Alexander, will have to be present at the blood drive as well.
“We are not quite sure it is going to happen yet,” blood drive coordinator Tom Green said. “The district policies have been changing and we are not quite sure how long the blood drive is going to last.”
