For the first time, Young Democratic-Socialists, Young Democrats Club and Young Republicans Club will have a debate. The debate will be hosted by American Government teacher Sara Schaufler.The topics that will be debated are: the economy, environment, health care, education, gun control and immigration.
President of Young Democratic-Socialist club Brendan Davison is one of the participants in the debate.
“I’m really excited because people have political debates in classes and the halls all the time,” Davison said. “But this is the first time it will be structured with rules, pre-set topics and time limits.”
The debate will begin at 3 p.m. today in the Little Theatre.
