Sophomore Davia Clarke has a “five must-dos” in her pre-meet ritual:
- Listen to Eminem’s songs “Till I Collapse” and “Lose Yourself” for motivation.
- Get hyped by jumping or dancing to calm those extra pre-race nerves.
- Stretch and roll out muscles so they won’t be tight when competing.
- Read over inspirational quotes like “You only have three choices in life: Give up, give in or give it all you’ve got.”
- Gives herself a pep talk reminding herself that she is ready.
