On That Track Grind

Sophomore Davia Clarke has a “five must-dos” in her pre-meet ritual:

  1. Listen to Eminem’s songs “Till I Collapse” and “Lose Yourself” for  motivation.
  2. Get hyped by jumping or dancing to calm those extra pre-race nerves.
  3. Stretch and roll out muscles so they won’t be tight when competing.
  4. Read over inspirational quotes like “You only have three choices in life: Give up, give in or give it all you’ve got.”
  5. Gives herself a pep talk reminding herself that she is ready.
