Fire drill a false alarm

The fire on Oct. 31 was little more than a false alarm.

“It was simply a system malfunction,” assistant principal Tom Moss said. “But a wonderful opportunity to test our fire drill procedures, I think we did pretty well.”

Students exited the building during fifth hour when the fire alarm sounded, and after two minutes the building was completely evacuated. After firemen gave the okay, students returned to lunch and classes.

Students gather with their fifth hour classes in their designated meeting places on Oct. 31. The fire alarm was sounded due to a malfunction.
