SMSD Unilateral Contract Struck Down

BREAKING: After the NEA’s choice to pursue legal action following the implementation of a three-year unilateral contract, the Kansas Department of Labor ruled against Shawnee Mission School District’s decision.
Before the contract was struck down, the teachers had until today, Friday 14, at 4:30 to sign a contract or resign from the district.
It has been ordered by the Department of Labor that the district cease and desist from imposing the terms and conditions in the proposed contract.
