The symphonic band will be participating in the annual district-wide band festival this Tuesday, March 26. Director of Bands Penny Snead has been working with the band students to perform alongside the top instrumental groups from other SM high schools.

Each group is allowed to perform two pieces. A guest clinician will be in attendance, listening to the performances by each school and giving feedback over the following days. Both Snead and the band members are expecting that the critiques they receive will help them to improve their performance for the state competition next month.

The symphonic band will put their hard work on display at the band festival at 7:00 p.m. on March 26 in the SM East auditorium.
