All schools and offices in the Shawnee Mission School District will be closed on Friday, February 8, 2019. Only essential SMSD personnel will need  to report to work on Feb. 8. The combination of cold weather and accumulated ice have made it impossible to get sidewalks and parking lots clean in time to ensure the safety of the students and staff. Decision on if afternoon activities will be cancelled will be decided after 1 p.m. tomorrow. Stay safe!
