Homecoming Parade

The NW homecoming parade is sponsored by Kiera O’Boyle, Morgan Moberg and the administration and booster clubs.

The homecoming parade is Friday, Oct. 20 and is not only a spirit event but also a competition between grade levels and clubs. The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. and includes 37 floats.

“We look forward to a successful 2017 parade which, with success, will allow for the continued tradition,” Moberg said.

This years theme is “Walking with Walt (Disney)”. The students involved in the parade will be wearing their class or club theme and will also be showing their spirit through banners and/or signs. The parade begins in the NW circle drive and will go to the student parking lot via 67th Street. Rain or shine the parade will still be held and following the parade will be a reception. The students and administration have put in a lot of hard work and are proudly supporting the event.

Don’t forget Friday’s spirit day theme is not just for the float members. Join your class theme and dress up accordingly. The freshman class should dress up from the movie “Cars”, the sophomore class from “Toy Story”, the junior class from “Moana”, and the senior class from “The Lion King”.

“Our main goal for having a homecoming parade is to raise spirit, not only for this year, but also many years to come,” O’Boyle said.
