Today is NW COUGAR CRAZIE day but let’s get ready for tomorrow since it is the last day of the Canned food drive. Friday will be our canned food drive t-shirt day AND all cans and money will be collected on this FINAL DAY of the NW STUCO can food drive. T-shirts will be on sale in the mall Friday, during all 3 lunches, for only $10 and be sure to listen and watch for additional surprises on Friday!!!!! All donations are benefiting our local Johnson County Christmas Bureau so THANK YOU NW for supporting this cause!
Like sandwiches? Like jazz? Then come support the Northwest Jazz Band tonight at 6:30pm at the Planet Sub on Quivira and 75th. Enjoy a sandwich while listening to the jazz band play some great music! See you there!
Counseling
The United States Naval Academy will be sending a representative to visit SMNW next Monday, November 23rd at 9:00 am to discuss the opportunities the Naval Academy has to offer future leaders. See Mrs. Alvey in the office to sign up for the visit.
Athletics
Attention ALL NW student/athletes interested in competing this spring on the track and field team: sign-ups continue throughout this week in the mall during all three lunch periods. Come out and meet Coach Stiegemeier and Coach Ratzlaff.
Any student athlete interested in trying out for bowling should plan to attend an informational meeting TODAY. If you did not make it to the 7:15 ammeeting this morning, come to the after school meeting at 2:45 in 153. We will talk about tryouts and the season. If you cannot attend, please see Coach Dent in rm 153 on Friday to get information. Let’s roll!
Attention all girls that are interested in trying out for soccer in the spring, there will be a brief meeting today November 19th , in room 120 at 2:50 with Coach Boren. We will discuss preseason conditioning and tryouts in the spring. If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Coach Boren before the meeting on Thursday.
Clubs:
The Repertory theatre class is excited to announce their production of a collection of one act, children’s shows! All are student directed by repertory theatre students, Kenzi Parsons, Frederick Rivera, and Sarah Smith! Performances will be Friday, November 20th at 7pm in the Little Theatre. Tickets are $2 or free with an activity pass.
There will be a young democrats meeting tomorrow before school in room 126 at 7:10. Be there to discuss the most recent democratic debate and designs for this year’s t-shirt.
Young Republicans Club will meet Friday morning at 7:05 in room 120. We will be talking about the next group of Republican candidates. All are welcome.

We are about to Throw Down. Come watch the 3rd annual SMNW Wrestling Challenge Tournament. The wrestlers will be battling for their Varsity and JV spots on Tuesday November 24th at 6:00pm in the Auxiliary gym. Price of admission is a case of water. Have a great day Cougars.
