Attention Seniors- this is the last day for Balfour to be at NW. Turn in your graduation orders, including cap and gowns and Balfour catalog items, during Seminar in front of the auditorium today. If you want to place your order after today you can to go online at balfour.com
If you ordered Homecoming pictures come to the office to pick up.
Attention NW: Beginning immediately, all secondary doors to the building should only be used for emergency exits and will remain closed during the regular school day. Entry to the building will be through the main East and West doors for all except teachers with an ID card. This means that all students should enter and exit through the main East and West doors ONLY during the school day. All students entering the building need to have their ID to present.
Counseling:
Representatives from the following colleges will be visiting this week:
Lafayette College – today @ 11:30
National American University – Friday @ 10:00 AND Friends University @ 1:00.
See Mrs. Alvey in the Counseling Department in the office for a pass.
UniverSidad to be Held tonight, Oct. 29- Spanish-speaking families in the Shawnee Mission School District are invited to attend UniverSidad at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 at SM North, 7401 Johnson Drive. The event, which will be conducted in Spanish, will provide students and their family members a chance to learn more about the college application process, financial aid, and speak with college representatives from local colleges and universities.
Attention Seniors: This Sunday, November 1, is the deadline for submitting college applications in order to be considered for scholarships for KU and KSU.
Athletics
There will be no swimming conditioning next Monday.
Football will close their season this Friday night against South so come cheer on the Cougars. Be sure to stay after the game to watch the Marching Cougar Pride perform their annual light show!

SADD has organized Red Ribbon Week this week, to raise awareness for alcohol/drug prevention! TODAY is PINK OUT day so keep wearing that PINK…… cause Drugs STINK! Friday is Cougar crazie day with orange and black .. . . . . . . . DON’T BE SCARED TO BE DRUG FREE!!!!
Congratulations to the students who attended Math Day at Emporia State on Wednesday. Students competed individually and in teams in Algebra and Geometry against 48 other schools and over 500 students. Special congratulations go to Deon Richmond who placed 4th in the Individual Algebra competition and Nick Senior who placed 2nd in the Individual Geometry competition. Great job!

Categories will meet today, Oct 29 after school for our pre-competition meeting. Categories Competition is in two weeks on Nov 2nd
Young Republicans Club will meet Friday morning in room 120 at 7:05. We will be talking about the most recent Republican Debate. All are welcome.
