Shawnee Mission Park – 7900 Renner Rd, Shawnee, KS 66219 – Shawnee Mission Park is a good place to go and hang out with your friends either on a weekend or on a weekday. It has a huge variety of things to do. It has a large lake and a huge amount of grass and forest area to go explore. Things you can do include exploring, geocaching, sailing, RC plane flying, disc golfing, and various other things that us high school kids do like hammocking. The park also features good areas to take in the view of nature such as the tower and “the cliff” as us Northwest students refer to it. Shawnee Mission Park is also a fun place to go on a bike ride and also do winter activities such as sledding and ice skating.

Sky Zone – 6495 Quivira Rd, Shawnee, KS 66216 – Sky Zone is an indoor trampoline park perfect for a party of some kind, or just to go and bounce around for an hour or two. The indoor trampoline park features a large section of trampolines that you can bounce around on freely. It also features another smaller section that you can play dodgeball in and a foam pit that you can bounce into as well as basketball hoops so you can dunk on your friends. Just don’t bounce from a trampoline onto hard ground, I learned from experience.

Power Play – 13110 W 62nd Terrace, Shawnee, KS 66216 – We were unable to retrieve pictures of the outside or inside of Power Play but we can tell you about it. Power Play includes many attractions such as bumper cars, bowling, go karts, laser tag, a laser maze, a ropes course, a tilt-o-whirl, a kids zone, and carnival rides. Power Play is again a good setting for a party of some kind or just to go hang out with your friends. Just don’t cry if you’re not old enough to go on some of the rides like I did in 4th grade… pauses… *whispering* who put that in the script.

Pegah’s Family Restaurant – 11005 Johnson Dr, Shawnee Mission, KS 66203 – Pegah’s Family Restaurant is a great atmosphere to go and eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have great food and a large menu selection and great service as well.
