    Seniors should have received checkout sheets from their senior English teachers.  If you have not, it is your responsibility to secure one.  Upon receiving it, you must get all signatures on the sheet before you leave school on Friday, May 15.  Ms. Schaufler and Mr. Giacalone will be in the mall during lunch on Friday to sign sheets.  Please remember that your counselor is the last person to sign your sheet. This complete (signed) sheet is your admittance into graduation practice, which is on Tuesday, May 19 at 9 a.m. in the Main Gym at Northwest. If you have questions about the checkout procedure, see Ms. Schaufler or Mr. Giacalone.

    Non-senior Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate final exam waiver sheets for second semester can be picked up in the office.  They need to be filled out and completed by Thursday May 14.
    Prom pictures and Honors and Awards packets can be picked up in the office during Seminar or before or after school.
    Benninghoven alumni “knights” are invited to a Senior Reception today, Tuesday May 12, 3:15–4:15 p.m. in the Benninghoven Library.

    A reception for Ray Marsh seniors will be held Monday, May 18 at 3 p.m. at the Ray Marsh Elementary library.

    Attention seniors!  This year’s Northwest graduation celebration will be held at PowerPlay on Friday, May 22 from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.  Advance tickets are $20 and will be sold during lunch Friday, May 15, and during the Senior Breakfast May 19.  This includes unlimited bumper cars, ropes course, cosmic bowling, arcade games and the brand new laser tag room. There will also be an all-you-can-eat-buffet until 12:30 a.m.

    The AP Micro-economics, Macro-economics, and Geography tests have had a testing site change. AP macro-economics is scheduled for Room K Thursday, May 14 in the afternoon. AP micro-economics is scheduled for Room C Friday, May 15 in the morning.  AP Geography will be on the auditorium stage Friday, May 15 in the morning.

    The boys’ varsity tennis team finished second in the regional tournament yesterday. Congratulations to state qualifiers: junior Tyler Garland in singles, and juniors Nathan Schmidt with Reagan Walsh in doubles. Good luck to Tyler, Nathan and Reagan next Friday and Saturday May 22 and 23 at state.

    The Cougar baseball team improved to 13-5 last night with a win over BV Southwest. Junior Jared Marolf received the victory while hurling five innings and recording five strikeouts with only one walk.  The Cougar offense was led by junior Garrett Stephens with his four-hit night. The Cougars are in action again tonight, May 12against sunflower league foes SM North.  Game time is 7 p.m at the 3&2 Baseball Club.

    Come support your NW softball girls at their home game tonight, May 12 at 4:15 p.m., also their Senior Night!  Bring your spirited hearts because Fan of the Week will be chosen.

    Anyone wanting to run cross country in the fall should come to Cafeteria Four at 2:50 p.m. tomorrowMay 13.

    This past weekend, Business Professionals of America students attended the national BPA meet in Anaheim, Calif.  Taking top honors were freshman Matthew Owens, who finished third in Entrepreneurship, and senior Sam Ryan, who placed Top 10 in Banking and Finance. Ryan, senior Nill Patel and senior Maurice Loridon also received the Ambassador Torch Award – the highest leadership award given to students meeting criteria in five areas of leadership. Congratulations!

    If you are taking Advanced Video Production next year, listen up. All 2015-16 KUGR members need to attend a meeting during seminar today, May 12. We will be discussing travel opportunities, summer events, and next year’s program. See Mr. Dent in room 153 for a seminar pass.

    Girl Effect will be meeting Thursday, May 14 after school in room 204. There will be plenty of food, so bring a friend. Everyone is welcome. Let’s empower girls globally.
