Come to NW the 9th Annual Woodworking show tomorrow, Friday May 1, in front of the main office during hours 1-7.  NW students stole the R&D forum again this year this past weekend.  They brought home more ribbons and trophies than ever before!  And for an unprecedented 3rd time in a row…. A NW student, Tyler Kruetzer, received the Regnier “ Over and Above Award “ with a $1,500.00 scholarship for his turquoise inlay walnut table and stools.  Please take a moment Friday and drop by to see what amazing projects NW students have created this year… classes are invited too!
This weekend the Drill Teams will be presenting This Year’s Spring Special- “Back to the Future”.  Please join us Friday or Saturday at 7pm in the Auditorium for all new routines from the Drill Teams, Senior Boys, Parents, and Drumline!  Tickets are FREE for Northwest students or $7 at the door.
Senior Final Exam Exemption Forms are now available in the office. This process allows certain students in selected classes to be excused from the teacher constructed final exam. It does NOT allow students to exempt out of required College Now finals.  You can only exempt from a final if you meet ALL of the required criteria and students must attend the class even if they have had the final waived. You must have a semester cumulative average of 90% or a grade of an A in each class you are choosing to exempt.  You must have had NO Saturday Schools, In-school or Out of school suspensions for second semester and you must have NO unexcused absences in ANY CLASS for second semester.  If you are a senior and think you qualify to exempt from an exam, please pick up the form in the office and carefully read and follow the directions.  The forms must be complete and returned by next Wednesday, May 6th.
TODAY during Seminar is the annual Locker Cleanout. All students will be released and need to report to their lockers.  If you do not know your locker combo, open your Skyward and click on “Student Info” – you will then see your locker number and combination.   Reminder: all lockers will be emptied out during the summer. Locker Cleanout is a good time to return all Library books, text books and take home anything you do not want thrown away. Trash bins will be provided.
Seniors you also need to see the sheets on the library doors or the office window for a list of seniors with library books out.  All seniors books are due by this Friday, May 1.
Reminder to ALL students  –  Food may NOT be delivered from outside the building without prior permission of the building administration.

Seniors – bring the following to your English class on Friday, May 1.   A list of scholarships offered and accepted.  A list of scholarships offered but not accepted.  If you plan to attend a college/university other than KU, KSU or JCCC, then bring a stamped legal size envelope addressed to the college/university that you plan to attend.
