    WPA tickets are on sale in the mall during all three lunches for two for $28 or one for $15.  All tickets are $15 at the door. Don’t forget to wear appropriate formal attire which means a suit and tie with a collared shirt, or your formal dresses.  Keep your shoes on the entire time. Also, to keep your night classy, keep the dancing clean!  Arrive at the cafeteria on Feb. 21 from 8 p.m.-11 p.m. See you there!

    Reminder students …… be sure to carry your school ID.  You will need to show your ID at the West doors OR in the Office when you enter or exit between 7:40 a.m. and 2:40 p.m.

    ITS VERY COLD OUTSIDE so be sure to NOT leave your laptop in the car because it can be damaged due to the cold and condensation.

    KUGR is looking for talented musicians in the HIP HOP or RAP genre for a feature on the next seminar show. If you know someone, or you yourself are interested, please come to Room 153 where a signup sheet will be posted on the door. Last chance to signup will be TODAY after school.

    Make plans for tomorrow’s Chili Supper & Silent Auction in the cafeteria and mall. We have gift certificates for Pizza for a year from Old Shawnee Pizza and Mr. Goodcents Subs for a year.  Also there will be a chance to get your dream trumpet from BAC Horn Doctor Artist Series NYCS, Valued at $1895. Don’t miss out on some great chili and awesome auction items.

    Counseling:
    Seniors – Do you need help completing the FAFSA college financial aid application? Come to College Goal Sunday at JCCC on Feb. 22 for FREE, personalized help in completing the FAFSA application and have your financial aid questions answered. All who attend will be entered in a drawing for a $500 scholarship!

    Athletics:

    Physicals are due to the athletic office no later than Feb. 27 for spring sports.  You cannot try out without a physical on file in the athletic office.  If you are not sure if a physical has been turned in this year, please check in the athletic office. Tryouts are March 2.

    Attention boys tennis players! There will be a mandatory meeting in Room 128, tomorrow  at 2:50 p.m.

    Clubs:
    Congratulations to the JV bowlers for their performance at the Sunflower League Tournament yesterday.  The girls team came in 4th overall with Freshman Emilia Battles finishing 8th overall, and Junior Alpha Hill-Spearman came in 10th overall.  The boys finished 7th with freshman Austin Anderson and Sophomore Adam Vanderwerf tying for 9th.

    Attention all writers, poets, artists, and photographers!  PenPoint, SMNW’s own student literary and art publication, needs you! We are looking for stories, essays, poems, artwork and photos for the 2015 edition.  Deadline for submission consideration is Friday, March 6th.  Work can be submitted to Mrs. Raner or Miss Johnson in the English office, room 118, or the PenPoint box in the library.  Share your talent with the school—submit to PenPoint now!

    It’s Wednesday and we hope all you cougars are well dressed! Do you just wanna be famous?! Well tomorrow all your dreams can come true!! Show up to school as your favorite celebrity and strut down the red carpet of Northwest.
