It’s all about the uniform.

The the job an officer has can be determined by the color of his uniform and badge.

School Resource Officer Mark Coenen is a Shawnee Police Officer, and as such he wears a Shawnee police uniform. This is light blue in color, and has a bronze badge.

Campus Security Officer Sanchez will be at the west doors in a booth. He will wear an all black campus security uniform with a sliver badge. The new District Resource Officer coming in February will be wearing the same uniform as Officer Sanchez.
