Snacks+from+Scraps

Day After Recipes


 Using what was set out on the family table as a quick afternoon snack

Ingredients:

1 box of Kraft Mac & Cheese

3 T of milk

2 T of butter (softened)

4 oz. shredded ham

6 cups of water

(Cheese packet is included in Kraft box)

Directions:

1.Boil Water

2. When water begins to boil, add noodles

3.wait seven minutes, stirring occasionally, and drain

4.Stir in milk, butter, cheese and ham.

5. Stir

6. Enjoy

Ingredients:

2 slices of bread

1 slice of American cheese

1 slice of leftover ham (thinly sliced)

2 T buter

Directions:

1.Melt butter on a medium-hot skillet

2.place a slice of bread stop the butter

3.Top with ham and cheese, followed by another slice of bread and then 1T of butter

4.Flip occasionally until Cheese is melted

5. Eat and Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 corn or flour tortilla

3 oz. of shredded ham

3 oz. of cheese

Salsa and sour cream(optional)

Directions:

1. Place skillet on the stove on medium heat

2.PLace tortilla in skillet

3. sprinkle cheese and ham on the tortilla

4.Wait until cheese begins to melt and fold the tortilla in half and remove from skillet

5. wait until cool, and cut into wedges, then top with desired ingredients

Ingredients:

Scrambled Eggs-

3/4 cup of milk

3 eggs

4 oz. shredded ham

1 T butter

oatmeal (optional)-

1/2 cup of water

1/2 cup of plain uncooked oatmeal grains

1 T brown sugar

Toast (optional)-

1 piece of bread

Directions:

Scrambled Eggs-

1. Heat a skillet on high

2. Melt a T of butter

3. Crack 3 eggs into a mixing bowl and add 3/4 cup of milk and mix well

4. Pour egg, milk, and ham into the skillet and stir it with a spatula

5. When eggs solidify and become a pale yellow color, remove the skillet from the stove and pour onto the plate

Oatmeal-

1. Pour ½ cup of oatmeal into a bowl and cover it in a ½ cup of water

2. Put it in the microwave for 1 minute to 1:30

3. Let it cool then add a tablespoon of brown sugar.

Toast-

1. Toast bread

Ingredients:

2 slices of bread

3 pieces of thinly sliced turkey

cheese (any kind)

2 slices of tomato (optional)

lettuce (optional)

mayonnaise (Optional)

Directions:

1. Cut the turkey into 3 thin slices

2. Spread mayonnaise onto a slice of bread in a thin layer.

3. Lay the turkey on the piece of bread along with the cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes.

4. Put the sandwich together and cut it down the middle.

5. Enjoy!
