Also a reminder that Not So Late Night will be on Dec. 1, the monday we get back from break, in the Main Gym at 7 p.m. Start gathering anything and everything festive because the them is Tis The Season.     Congratulations to the Academic Decathlon team for earing the coveted title of Regional SuperQuiz Champion, tying with rival SM South in the Regional Academic Decathlon competition this weekend.  Congrats to the following students who participated: Trent McHenry, Deon Richmond, Nick Leyden, Denzel Richmond, Elizabeth Gibson, Kalen McKinley and Sami El-Qadi.  Individual medals were awarded to Nick Leyden in math and music; Deon Richmond in math; Sami El-Qadi in Social Science, Economics and Science. Team high scores were earned by Trent McHenry in Science and Art, Elizabeth Gibson in Speech, Sami El-Qadi in Social Science and Nick Leyden in Music, Literature, Math, Economics and Interview. GREAT JOB TEAM!

    The PTSA Reflections Art contest needs your creative work!  The theme this year is:  “The World would be a better place if…..” Original work may be entered in any of the following categories: Visual arts, Photography, Literature, Music composition, Film production and Dance choreography.  Entry deadline is Dec. 16.     Attention students who are interested in attending the Naval Academy after graduation.  A current senior Naval Academy student and Northwest graduate will be in the Counseling Center TODAY, at 10 a.m. to share information about his experience and the Naval Academy.  Interested students should sign up with Ms. Nick in the Counseling Office and pick up a pass.

    Anyone, not in a winter sport, who is planning on running Cross Country next fall should come to the weight room at 3:05 p.m. TODAY, dressed to run.  We will begin a winter running program that will go Monday through Friday until the beginning of spring sports

    Cross country DVD’s are available from Coach Rose in Room 213.

    Come watch the 2nd Annual Wrestling Challenge Tournament tomorrow night, at 6 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym.  Your wrestlers will be battling for the top spot in the Varsity line up. Admission is a case of water.

    Academic Decathlon will meet tomorrow after school.

    Key Club will be collecting coats for Johnson County Christmas Bureau, Dec. 2-12.  If you have good , clean used or new winter coats and jackets please bring them to the library or put them in the barrel outside the office.   Especially needed are men’s sizes and children’s sizes.
