    Were you not able to audition for Little Shop of Horrors, but want a chance to be on stage? Come audition for the spring play You Can’t Take It With You after school Nov. 19 or 20 in the Little Theatre.

     

    Juniors who took the practice ACT on Oct. 15 can pick up their results before or after school in the counseling office. During lunch, results will be available in front of the office.

     

    If you plan on trying out for a winter sport, remember that ALL sports physicals are due TODAY in the athletic office.

     

    WE STILL HAVE ROOM.

    If you need a winter sport to challenge you and keep you in tip top condition, then consider the Wrestling Team.  We are currently needing highly motivated young men in the following weight classes:

    2 @ 106, 2 @ 113, 2 @ 145, 2 @ 170, 3 @ 195,

    1 @ 220, 3 @ Heavyweight

    Boys’ Basketball tryouts begin on Nov.17.  Sophomores, juniors and seniors will begin practice at 3 p.m. in the Main Gym. Freshmen will begin at 6 p.m. in the main gym.  You must have a physical form on file to be able to tryout.

     

    The CCC is sponsoring its first Cappuccino Day of the year today. So stop by the west end of the mall, until the end of fourth hour, to get a cappuccino, hot chocolate, half-and-half, lemonade or a cookie. All will be available for only $1 each. The proceeds will go to help a local need in the community.

    An Arts in the Kansas City Community presentation will be given during all 3 lunches next  Nov. 19 in Room 9 by NW graduate Lydia Zacharias. Everyone is welcome, but all NHS members who attend this installment of the Speaker Series will receive house points.

     

    The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is hosting the event TED x YOUTH@KC tomorrow. Students attending will experience engaging presentations, interactive art exhibits and free giveaways; Tickets are $6 for students.

     

    Join Key club in the fight to stop bullying!  Be the person to echo when someone else speaks up against hate.  Thank the person for speaking up.  Many voices together create change.

     

    Tis the season to get a Not So Late Night shirt! They will sold in the mall during all three lunches. Short sleeve are $10 and long sleeve are $15! If you have any questions contact any Spirit Club Exec board member.

    The last Orange Army shirts order for the school year is being taken this week only. See a STUCO member in the mall during all 3 lunches on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Shirts are $10. If you had any issues with your orange army t-shirt order, you must see Mrs. Dent in Room 132 immediately. See Alex Oleson with questions.

     

    The NW Cheerleaders have supported you in Football, Basketball and all of our Fall, Winter and Spring assemblies! Now, it is your turn to help support us! Come out to BV Southwest, tomorrow. The cheerleaders will be performing their group routine at noon, along with group and partner stunt routines at 2:30 p.m. Cheer us to a Victory as we do for you! See you Saturday!

     

    Are you pawning for something to occupy your time, maybe Tuesday at 7 a.m.? Do you lie awake at lie awake at “knight” pondering the strategy of horseplay? Then call your king “jenkins” for all the “lee roying” you’ll be doing! For the almighty club of chess has come to bear! We meet tuesday morning at 7 a.m. in Room 221! Bring your best game!
