    Categories – the game of academic trivia – will meet after school tonight. The cheese is here. The competition is in two weeks. Categories meets in Room 105.

    BPA meeting tomorrow at 7:10 a.m. in Room 202.  See Mrs. Berg if you are unable to attend.

    Spirit Club is starting up again tomorrow at 7:10 a.m. in the Little Theater.  We are going to be discussing “Not so late night” and we want your opinion. Doughnuts will be served, see you there!

    Young Democrats is back! Come by Room 126 at 7:10 a.m. tomorrow to vote on leadership positions and talk about volunteering for Paul Davis’s campaign. There will be donuts there! Talk to Zachary Ziegenhorn if you have any questions.

    Do you love food? Well come help out food club by coming to our fundraiser at Applebees Oct. 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Make sure to come by Room 229 and pick up a flyer to take to Applebees, so food club will receive the donations!

    Hey Hey Hey!!! Orange Army is going PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.  You can purchase a PINK tie dye Orange Army shirt to support the soldiers who are affected by breast cancer.  Profits from these sales will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Please see the table in the mall during all three lunches this week. Money can be turned in at the tables in the mall or room 132 after school (to Mrs. Dent).  Shirts can be purchased for $10 for students, parents, siblings, family members, and faculty.

    LADIES AND GENTLEMEN – get your act together!  If you want to be a part of the 6th annual Northwest Talent Show, come to Room 132 to sign up and get the rules!  Student Council is hosting tryout auditions Oct. 29 and 30 before and after school in the Orchestra Room 37, but you MUST sign up first! All music, dance, acting, comedy, poetry, and variety acts are welcomed!  Help make this event one to remember! See Sophomores Hope Medis and Katie Springer or Mrs. Dent in Room 132 with questions.

    PTSA is sponsoring a fun night Oct. 24 from 11am to 3 p.m. at Sky Zone on Quivira. It is only $10 for one hour, bring your school ID and join your friends for some fun at Sky Zone.

    The Cougar Varsity Gymnastics Team will compete at the State Meet will be on Oct. 25 at SM West starting at 11:00 a.m.  Cost is $6.00 for students and $7.00 for adults.  Come out to support the Cougar Gymnasts.

    Boys soccer will finish out the regular season against Olathe South tomorrow, so come out a cheer on the Cougars.

    Boys basketball open gym has been cancelled for the remainder of this fall.  Again, there will be no more boys basketball open gym this fall.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Rose.

    Congratulations to the sophomore volleyball team on a great season! The girls finished their season playing their best volleyball and beat Olathe East in two games.  The team finished 25 – 11 overall and 9-2 in league.  Great Job Ladies!!

    The search is on to find our top youth volunteer. If selected, you could receive $1,000, a silver medallion, and a trip to Washington, D.C., next May.
