    Attention all students; The photo retake day scheduled for tomorrow HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED for Nov. 6. Any Senior who has not gotten their picture taken for the yearbook needs to go ASAP to sign the posted Senior sign-up sheet right outside room 151.

     

    Hey Hey Hey!!!  Orange Army is going PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.  You can purchase a PINK tie dye Orange Army shirt to support the soldiers who are affected by breast cancer. Profits from these sales will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Please see the table in the mall during all three lunches today through next week.  Money can be turned in at the tables in the mall or room 132 after school (to Mrs. Dent). Shirts can be purchased for $10 for students, parents, siblings, family members, and faculty.

     

    If you ordered an Orange Army shirt in the 2nd order – they are in!  Please go to the cafeteria immediately after school to get your shirt!  Thanks!

     

    Attention Young Republicans.  We will be having our normal meeting this Friday at 7:10 a.m. in Room 120.  This Friday is also the deadline for signing up if you want to order a shirt.  See you on Friday morning!!!

     

    Do you have a friend in Little Shop of Horrors? Would you like to write them a note that will be put in the program?? Come buy a break a leg for only $6 or four for $20 by tomorrow! See Ms. Rodgers or Elizabeth McElroy to reserve your space and dictate your note.

     

    If you have sold trash bags please come to the Little Theatre right after school to pick them up and deliver them ASAP. Also, State Conference forms are due today. Please give them to Keli Rodgers or Marlee Bell.

     

    Academic Decathlon meets today this week in Room 241.

     

    What would you do if you knew you had the power to make a difference in the world? Help us bring back Girl Effect, where you can connect to people in other countries and make a lasting impact in your community. Ensure education, security, and citizenship for girls all over the world. Come to our meeting in room 204 this Friday at 7 before school.

     

    Do you have an eye for photography?  If so, come to the new photo club starting tomorrow after school in Room 7.  We’ll be going on photo shoots, have group critiques & fun contests with great prizes.  There will be food so come hungry!!! Questions? Contact Sarah Komer or Reagan Key via Ms. Heaton in room 7.

     

    Prom committee meeting this Friday at 7:10 a.m. in Room 124.

     

    Key club is meeting Friday at 7:10 a.m. in Room 155 or after school in the library.  Plan to attend if you are looking for a great community service group!

     

    Woodland Public Charity had selected Northwest Interact Club to receive the Woodland Youth Humanitarian Organization Award of the Year. The club has been recognized for their partnership and efforts in working with Woodland Charities traveling on an international volunteer trip to Guatemala on two different occasions.  During those trips the students did volunteer work in communities helping with water treatment projects, language lessons, sewing lessons, starting a community garden and lending a hand wherever the communities needed it.  Congrats to the young men and women that participate in this club and give of their time to help others.

     

    Spirit Club is starting up again Oct. 21 at 7:10 a.m. in the little theater. Come and give us your opinion and we’ll give you a doughnut. Hope to see you there!

     

    LADIES AND GENTLEMEN (announcer voice) – get your act together!  If you want to be a part of the 6th annual Talent Show, come to Room 132 to sign up and get the rules! Student Council is hosting tryout auditions on Wed. and Thurs. Oct. 29 and 30 before and after school in the Orchestra Room 37, but you MUST sign up first! All music, dance, acting, comedy, poetry, and variety acts are welcomed!  Help make this event one to remember! See Sophomores Hope Medis and Katie Springer or Mrs. Dent in Room 132 with questions.

     

    This Friday night we will be going up against the SM West Vikings in a battle to defeat their football team.  It is a white out and the game will be held at SM South District Stadium at 7 p.m. We can’t wait to see you all under the Friday WHITE lights.


    The SM College Clinic will be today, from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at SM East. Over 200 Colleges will have representatives available to talk with you. For more information, go to smsd.org.
