Students in mourning after the loss of two students
January 29, 2018
The NW community is mourning two students who have passed away two days apart (Jan 22 and 24). According to the Shawnee Police, the deaths are unrelated and the students have been identified as freshmen Steven Cohenour and Nioka (Dylan) Vinson. Cohenour’s parents have released the following statement:
“There are no words to express the depths of our loss and we realize that there are many in the SMNW community that were also touched by the light that we knew as Steven. Thank you for all of your thoughts and expressions of support. We hope that all can celebrate his life, remembering his friendship and laughter. We can only move through this time of grief one step at a time, depending on each other as one big family.”

I just want to make this brief Im nioka friend well I was and this is going to the teachers that she reached out to the ones she gave her heart to and you didn’t know what to do with it to the ones she loved so deeply its not your fault never was now what you should take fault for is not caring so please don’t act like you care because god knows you don’t you knew you didn’t care when you ignored her, when you said she just wanted attention, or just called her crazy trust me I know you did because some of you don’t know how to whisper. and if this message its self gets ignored that itself is really saying something huh because if this message its useless than whats my self worth inutile meant as a human being myself so have fun at smnw because what ever you think you had put together its not gonna stay stable for ever.
