The girls’ swim and dive team is already hard at work, strengthening and conditioning, all with one goal in mind: getting ahead of the competition.
“It’s the girls who are coming to these preseason workouts who will break records this year, and thats what we need to be a competitive team” coach Ken Summers said. , He went on to compliment the dedication of the team.
“It’s great to see them out here even a month early, because it shows how excited they are for the season, and that makes me excited for the season as well”.
Although the team lost some important seniors last year, they are determined to work hard and make up their losses.
“I’ll really miss having Mallory Wilhite on the dive team,” junior Olivia Williams said. “She got second in state last year, but that just just makes me want to work harder to reach all my goals and get some points for the team.”
