Soccer boys finishing the season strong

Soccer+boys+finishing+the+season+strong
The  boys’ soccer team has had a rough season; they currently stand with a record of six wins, seven losses and two ties. However, the boys worked hard for a 4-0 win over SM North on Oct. 11.

“The team has the ability to play with any of the top teams in the region,” coach Todd Boren said.

In Boren’s opinion there are three key players on the team.

“Evan Miller anchors our defensive back line in the middle,” Boren said, “Cole Nelson anchors our midfield and has been absolutely one of our most consistent performers, and when Cody Sliva plays well, the team plays well.”

Boren thinks that the players he has this year are the most team-oriented players he has ever coached.

“We don’t have the luxury of being able to rely on a handful of players to carry the team, but I absolutely have faith in my boys,” Boren said.
